The duties of the manager include:
- Administrative management of the lab (allocation of budgets, ordering of goods, etc.)
- Leading an independent scientific project focused on novel aspects of mRNA translation.
- Maintainance of a well-organized and safe lab environment.
- Improving and streamlining lab protocols and equipment usage.
- Integration of new methodologies.
- Supervising the technical aspects in the lab (application of existing methodologies, implementation of new techniques, use of instrumentation, etc.)
- Active contribution to a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere.
Strong candidates shall hold an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a biology-related field and demonstrate the following:
- Excellent human relations and team skills
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Proven scientific skills
- Technical skills relevant to the molecular biology field
- Ability and readiness to guide and supervise
The following expertise will be highly valued:
- Experience in RNA-related methodologies (RNA isolation / preparation of NGS libraries, etc.)
- Proficiency in computational biology (e.g., transcriptome data analysis / omics / R / Python / Bash, etc.)
- Experience in preparation of grant applications.
